Throughout our history, we at Hannaher's have worked hard to make the Hannaher's name synonymous with quality, value and service. It's a commitment Tom Hannaher made when he started this business and it's what motivates our team to continue providing effective solutions for today and tomorrow.
For over 65 years, we have been providing innovative workplace solutions for the regions growing and complex business community. We built our business on personal relationships and good practices and we continue to build on that solid foundation every day. "It's more than just selling office furniture," says Hal Torson, sales representative. "It's providing complete design, sales and service, the highest level of quality and complete satisfaction."
Customer services is key to our success, but our business would not exist without quality people and quality products. Our long standing partnership with Steelcase, a leading manufacturer of quality office environments, and the wealth of products offered via our Office Furniture USA showroom, ensure the quality of the products we sell. The fact is we won't offer a service unless we know we can provide it in a timely, efficient manner with the utmost care and detail. It's how we've done business for more than half a century, and it's how we will continue to do business in years to come.

When Thomas P. Hannaher purchased Ridley's Office Equipment, a 19-year-old office supply business in 1959, he wanted to do more than simply sell office supplies. He wanted to create a company where people could go for quality office products, expert service and leading office solutions.
Hannaher built his company on solid values: honesty, integrity, common sense and hard work. And it was that vision which helped him nurture and maintain a successful partnership with Steelcase Inc.

With the introduction of system's furniture, the evolution of ergonomic seating and the emergence of Steelcase as the industry leader, Hannaher's company steadily grew throughout the 1970s, 1980s and into the 1990s.
As a new century approached we embarked on a new vision at Hannaher's, a vision that focused on developing partnerships with customers and a consultative sales approach. In addition, we broadened the scope of our services to better accommodate customers' needs.
Honored as the 1999 Small Business of the Year by the F-M Chamber of Commerce, Hannaher's was recognized for it's entrepreneurial achievements and contributions to the community.
Factors in determining the award were business growth, innovation and creativity, civic involvement and unique achievements.
In accepting the award, Dan Hannaher said, "We've succeeded because of the commitment to quality from a great team of employees, a strategic working relationship with the manufacturing leader of our industry - Steelcase; a vision-guided management team and some of the best customer's in the world."
In the spring of 1999, we broke ground on a brand new 25,500 square foot facility in the West Acres Business Park, between I-94 and 20th Avenue Southwest in Fargo, North Dakota.
We have allocated 10,500 square feet in the facility for corporate office space and contract furnishings display; 5,000 square feet for a seperate showroom displaying our OF/USA products and 10,000 square feet for warehouse space.
The use of Steelcase Architectural Walls integrate full-height demountable partitions and stackable walls with free-standing furniture, mobile teaming solutions, PolyVision technology products, lighting, conferencing and lounge pieces. These products blend together on both an aesthetic and functional level and provide a huge capacity for technology integration.
Designed and built by local contractor Olaf Anderson & Sons, the two-story building incorporates natural elements on the exterior and a Frank Lloyd-Wright inspired design. As a result, the building blends well with our neighbors in the business park.
As Fargo-Moorhead has grown over the years, expansion has traditionally headed westward. Our facility puts us in the heart of this high-growth area, so we can better serve the needs of our existing and future clientele. |
